At Southside Senior Enrichment Council (SSEC), we believe every senior deserves access to the support and resources they need to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
SSEC provides financial assistance of up to $500 to local seniors experiencing a specific need that may impact their safety, independence, or quality of life. Assistance may help with needs such as essential household expenses, safety-related items, equipment, moving assistance, cleaning services, utilities, or other circumstances that align with SSEC's mission.
Nominations may be submitted by family members, caregivers, senior-care professionals, community partners, or others who are aware of a senior in need. Seniors may also reach out on their own behalf.
Each request is reviewed individually by SSEC. We consider the senior's circumstances, the nature of the request, available funding, and whether the need aligns with our mission.
Submitting a nomination does not guarantee financial assistance. Approved assistance is generally limited to up to $500 per senior, and requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.
